The 7th Annual ToRS-Saxo PhD seminar, 2019

We are pleased to invite PhD fellows to participate in the Annual ToRS-Saxo PhD seminar. The idea behind the seminar is to offer PhD students and other researchers from the faculty who deal with subjects of ancient history, archaeology, cultural heritage and museology to have an insight into ongoing PhD projects at both ToRS and SAXO. We encourage PhD students from other institutions to participate as well.

Presentations should be in English and limited to 20 minutes each with an additional 10 minutes for questions and discussion. The paper must concern the PhD project in question. Since all PhD students are at different stages in their projects, each participant decides individually how many results they wish to present (if any yet). Thus the paper could deal with e.g. a specific topic, preliminary results, problems and questions, field work, methods or approaches.

Speakers will be granted 1.8 ECTS, non-speakers 0.3 ECTS

Coffee, tea and cake will be offered during the seminar, lunch will be provided for speakers.

Applicants are requested to register by 4 November 2019, and submit an abstract by 18 November 2019 to Rasmus Aarslev (ToRS) or Kristoffer Maribo Engell Larsen (SAXO).

Abstracts should be in English, between 50 and 150 words, and provided with a title, name and academic affiliation.

We will forward the full programme to all participants on Monday 2 December.
