The killing of journalists in Gaza: The Gaza Project
Join ToRS for the urgent and timely conversation with Hoda Osman, Executive Editor, Arab Reports of Investigative Journalism on the killing of journalists in Gaza and The Gaza Project. Professor Sune Haugbølle, Roskilde University and Associate Professor Marc Schack, iCourts, UCPH will present perspectives on the current situation in Gaza and on international law in respect to journalists working in the context of war. The conversation will be moderated by Professor, UCPH Mette Mortensen.
The Gaza Project
The Gaza Project is a collaboration involving over 40 journalists from 12 media organizations, coordinated by Forbidden Stories, investigating the attacks on journalists in Gaza. It also includes reporting that continues the work of journalists who can no longer carry it out.
Hoda Osman
Hoda Osman is an investigative reporter and editor based in New York and the executive editor of Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism (ARIJ), where she leads international collaborative investigations, including recently The Gaza Project, which investigated the targeting of journalists in Gaza and involved over 40 journalists from 12 media outlets. Osman was also recently a co-producer of the PBS Frontline documentary Syria After Assad. Hoda has worked with ABC News, CBS News, France24 and the Associated Press. She also trains journalists worldwide in investigative reporting.
