NEW at ToRS! BA elective in Central Asian and Afghanistan Studies

Education

The BA elective in Central Asian and Afghanistan Studies is part of a three year BA programme which requires 180 ECTS-points in total. This includes the 135 ECTS obtained in the student’s main subject and 45 ECTS obtained in the elective.

The student must obtain at least 45 ECTS in his/her main subject before starting a BA elective. Students must attend three regionally relevant courses, each worth 15 ECTS points. They should normally start with the introductory course regularly offered in the autumn semester. Each course can also be taken as an individual elective.

The aim of the BA elective in Central Asian and Afghanistan Studies is to provide students with specialized knowledge and skills to complement their main subject on the BA level, together with basic theoretical and methodological skills.

Students will deepen their academic knowledge in the subject area disciplines and develop their skills to independently carry out scientific work and apply methodology.

Courses will be regularly offered from the Autumn Term 2014.
