Why are sustainable actions sometimes deferred by organizational actors that otherwise have deemed the same sustainable actions necessary? Drawing on my research project, in this presentation I reflect on how ordinary material objects in organizational everyday life are made into barriers for sustainable actions. An expanded understanding of barriers that also take mundane organizational materialities into account is an important contribution to an acceleration of the Green Transition.
