In Europe culture seems to matter more than ever – especially religion and ethnicity have gained momentum with reference to the effects of migration and notions of the multicultural.

This PhD workshop offers the opportunity to present and discuss theoretical, analytical and empirical issues related to concepts of culture with special emphasis on the implications of the interactions between the political and the theoretical dimensions.
