The 6th Annual ToRS-Saxo PhD seminar
We are pleased to invite PhD fellows to participate in the Annual ToRS-Saxo PhD seminar, which will take place on Thursday December 20th at the University of Copenhagen (KUA-Amager). The idea behind the seminar is to offer PhD students and other Faculty members dealing with the subjects of ancient history, archaeology, cultural heritage and museology insight into the ongoing projects taking place at both institutes. We also encourage participation by PhD students from other institutions.
Call for papers
The presentations should be in English and limited to 20 minutes each with an additional 10 minutes for questions and discussion. The only requirement regarding the content of the paper is that it should deal with the PhD project in question. As PhD students are all at different stages of their projects, it is up to each individual to decide how many of their results to present (if any yet), e.g. the paper could deal with a specific topic, preliminary results, problems and questions, field work, methods or approaches.
You will get the following: 1.5 ECTS for paper presentation and 0.3 ECTS for seven hours of participation and minimal preparation. Each speaker will therefore get 1.8 ECTS in total and non-speakers 0.3 ECTS.
Coffee, tea and cake will be served during the seminar and lunch will be provided for the speakers.
Applicants are requested to register by November 5th 2018, and submit an abstract by November 19th 2017 to Sofie Schiødt or Nina Toudal Jessen.
The abstract should be in English, between 50 and 150 words, and provided with a title, name and academic affiliation.

The seminar will take place on Thursday December 20th, from 9:30 until ca. 16:00, depending on the final number of speakers. Venue: South Campus, room 27.0.47
