How does an experienced Jordanian working in the humanitarian sector see the potential of engaging Syrian refugee youth on projects? What are his recommendations for others interested in working with peer-to-peer learning? What did he himself learn by designing and carrying out such a project?

In this interview, Tareq AlDilaijim explains what new insights he gained from working with a peer-to-peer design and how they differed from what he already knew, having worked in the NGO sector for a decade. A key point is that he gained a better understanding of the situation for Syrian youth and the crucial importance of following up with participants. Significantly, AlDilaijim highlights the importance of hiring Syrians in organizations, thereby opening new paths towards change for both Syrian refugee youth and the humanitarian sector.
