My research focuses mainly on otherness and on meeting points between Israelis and Palestinians. Currently I finished a book manuscript titled, Inheriting an empire? UN agencies in the Israeli Palestinian conflict.

I also wrote about interreligious marriages between Jewish women and Palestinian men in Israel (Ethnic and Racial Studies), Palestinian men who pass as Jews and Jews who pass as Palestinians (Sociology).

Previously, I researched Palestinian teachers in Jewish schools who had to pass as `good Arabs` and about Jewish women who volunteered to act as human shields to Palestinian insurgents.

I also research the military. I researched masculinity and violence in the Israeli military and Dutch NATO peacekeepers in Bosnia and Kosovo. My recent project is on how Israeli soldiers´ war song reflect their attitude towards the Palestinians and the correlation between mode of violence and the perception of the enemy.
