Recalibrating Syria: New Openings for Anthropological Engagement

A new collection of short essays on Syria after the fall of Assad has just been released by Allegra Lab. The collection is edited by Andreas Bandak, Paul Anderson and Amani Anderson and brings together fifteen contributions by stellar scholars on Syria. These include: Lisa Wedeen; Saphe Shamoun; Zeina al-Azmeh; Stefan Tarnowski; Charlotte al-Khalili and Mohammad al-Khalili; Veronica Ferreri and Abd Elrahim Hsyan; Nerouz Satik; Nour Halabi and Christa Salamandra; China Sajadian; Fadi Bardawil; Katty Alhayek and Basileus Zeno; Eylaf Bader Eddin; Omar Al-Ghazzi; and Zoya Masoud.

The collection is called ‘Recalibrating Syria: New Openings for Anthropological Engagement’ and it explores the various forms of change and readjustments Syria is facing in this liminal moment. The collection is online and open to all.
