Independent Research Fund Denmark fall 2024 - spring 2025: SAPERE AUDE

Sapere Aude DFF-Starting grant are for applicants with a PhD age of minimum 3 years and maximum 8 years.

Internal deadline for Sapere Aude applicants to ask for hosting at ToRS: Tuesday 18 June 2024

Please send an email to charlott@hum.ku.dk not later than Tuesday 18 June with the following files filled in and attached: Staffing form and a hosting template (in Danish - an English version will come later. For assistance in filling out the form, please contact Charlott). Please write your name in the email title.

Conc. Co-financing as PI: If you do not have a tenured position at the department and wants to apply for co-financing of your position, you should contact the relevant educational coordinator BEFORE applying for hosting of the project. The educational coordinator has an overview of the courses to be offered in the coming semesters and will be able to see if there is a need for teaching in areas you can cover. Due to short notice of the deadline we do not expect that the educational coordinator has a reply ready before you send the application to have your project hosted at ToRS. Please note that the department will not be able to consider any co-financing before information from educational coordinators has been received. 

Conc. Co-financing of post doc positions: In principle it is not possible to apply for co-financing from the department for postdoc positions.

Applications to be hosted by TORS are evaluated by the management after which a reply is send to the applicant by research consultant Charlott Hoffmann Jensen.

Workshop for SA applicants: The department expects you to participate in the workshop for Sapere Aude applicants organized by faculty staff. The first online workshop takes place 28 June. Deadline for sending a project abstract to the organizers is 24 June. Read more about the workshop here.

Monday 26 August 2024: Deadline for submitting the budget form or a Word file with information on expected activities. The form should be sent to Charlott Hoffmann Jensen on charlott@hum.ku.dk, who can also assist in the planning of the budget.

If you have access to the university intranet KUnet please also look into the faculty research support unit tool box (in Danish) if you need help in putting together the budget.

Peer Review: All applicants at ToRS for collaborative projects are offered internal peer review by 1 or 2 colleagues who has experience from writing or reading applications. As applicant you will receive an email from Charlott Hoffmann Jensen with information on internal deadlines etc.
