Two important pieces
The collaborative research project Viable Futures: Near and Long Term Prospects among Syrian Youth in Jordan consisting of Andreas Bandak (PI), Anders Hastrup (Co-PI), and Birgitte Stampe Holst has just published two important pieces.
Firstly, the report ‘Viable Futures: Insights from Peer-to-peer Research among Syrian youth in Jordan’ presents central findings from the research and recommendations to the NGO sector. The publication is written by our staff and field coordinator in Jordan, Tareq al-Dilaijim.
Secondly, we have also published a collection, where 30 Syrian and Jordanian youths reflect on the situation in Jordan after being part of our project. The collection is entitled ‘Viable Futures: Syrian Articulations of the Protracted Crisis in Jordan’. In addition to the texts by the youths, the collection includes three interviews with Tareq al-Dilaijim, Martin Fernando Jakobsen, and Dawn Chatty, who all are significant voices from the local NGO sector, the NGO side, and the leading research side, respectively. The project team edited the publication in cooperation with our two brilliant students, Hannah Arndal Rasmussen and Nick Soltani.
