Waste ethnographies workshop
In the project WASTE: Consumption and Buddhism in the age of garbage, we study waste in different Buddhist communities in India, Nepal, Japan, Bhutan, and the Christmas Islands. Upon their return from fieldwork, the researchers want to share experiences and engage with each others’ waste ethnographies and problematics. The workshop is conceived as a platform for open-ended inquiry and collaborative problem-solving, rather than a one-way knowledge dissemination event.
The workshop will take place at the Department for Cross-cultural and Regional Studies, South Campus, University of Copenhagen.
Participation in the workshop is possible if you contact ccbs@hum.ku.dk by 1 February 2024.
