Waste interventions, case work, and fieldwork workshop
In the project WASTE: Consumption and Buddhism in the age of garbage, we have built into each of the studies waste interventions. These are strategic ways to initiate dialogues locally, to identify issues important to interlocutors, and to incite collaborative analytical work. These ethically sound interventions will impact the source communities in India, Nepal, Japan, and Christmas Islands by actively generating discussions on consumption, waste, and sustainability, increasing waste awareness, and potentially changing local practices. In this workshop, we invite discussions on how we use interventions, involve stakeholdserd and work with case development in our fieldwork on waste.
Sign up for the workshop by writing to ccbs@hum.ku.dk.
The deadline for signing up is August 1, 2023.
